Led by Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha at the Pediatric Public Health Initiative, Rx Kids is a transformational effort to address child poverty and health equity. Consistent with practices in other countries, and increasingly in other American cities, Rx Kids boldly tackles a root cause of health disparities - economic insecurity - through the provision of unconditional cash allowances to pregnant moms and babies in Flint. Project scope and start date will be dependent on funds garnered.
Enrollment is not open yet. Depending on funding, the program is expected to launch in 2024.
